Amylin 1-37, human / Islet Amyloid Polypeptide (IAPP) is the primary component of amyloid deposits found in pancreatic B-cells of patients with type two diabetes mellitus. Amyloid deposition contributes to the pathology of a variety of disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, chronic renal dialysis, senile cardiac amyloidosis and type two diabetes mellitus. Amyloid has been proposed to modulate glucose metabolism in conjunction with insulin, but in patients with type two diabetes mellitus, amylin aggregates to form amyloid.
Each peptide comes complete with the following information:
a QC summary sheet
two reverse phase HPLC profiles to verify purity
mass spectrometry to verify molecular weight
amino acid analysis to verify composition
We use outside laboratories to provide the amino acid analysis and mass spectrometry. This third-party verification allows us to remain objective and has helped us achieve an excellent record of delivering top quality peptides since 1993.
